Random Acts of Kindness

We love to Pay it Forward here at T-BONES, Cactus Jack's, and Copper Door and Random Acts of Kindness have always been part of our company's culture. In 2015 we decided to bring our love of these random acts up another notch... and have been surprising guests with free desserts, free appetizers, free meals and other cool surprises at all our locations almost daily! It does not stop there; each recipient is then given a $25 Pay It Forward dining certificate to present to a random person to keep the momentum going. We love doing this so much that we've dedicated an entire website to the stories and memories we've created and are creating everyday... Enjoy!

Not Even Scared

Not Even Scared

CoDo's morning RAK went to Zachary, who was a very brave young man today undergoing an MRI. He was here with his parents for being such a brave kid. I gave him his very own $50 GC and told him he could invite anybody he wanted to come back and visit. He said he wanted to bring his cousin. Not his siblings, just his cousin. That's funny. I gave his parents the Pay It Forward certificate. Mom & Dad were very touched by the gesture.

Local School Teachers

Local School Teachers

I received a phone call today from the principal of one of our local schools who wanted to take care of the ladies that worked in the office. I figured we could do it one better! So I selected Vicky, Denise, and Lucie as my RAK to thank them for their service to the students during the past year and hooked them up with lunch and an opportunity for the Pay It Forward GC.

2-years Cancer free!! =)

Nancy came and told me about a possible RAK candidate. It was an older lady who had been celebrating 2 years cancer free. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to do something kind for her. Nancy and I went over to the table and explained the Random Act Of Kindness. We bought her desserts and gave her a 100$ gift card for her next visit. We also gave her the 25$ RAK certificate to give away to a random stranger. The lady was so taken back she was in tears. She was also celebrating her hair growing back. It made her night and it made Nancy and I extremely happy to be able to do something nice for her. She said she will be back again soon!

Side-by-Side Sitters

So my RAK today went to the first side by side sitters of the evening!! My first initial thoughts were that they must be on a first date, I was surprised when the told me it was their 10 year Wedding Anniversary! Jamie and Matt were at Copper Door for the first time! They were also on their first date in over a year having two small children at home. When I told them I was buying dinner for them this evening, they were speechless and Jamie started to cry, asked me if she could hug me and cried some more lol!! I know they will definitely pass it on, Jamie and Matt said they will be back as soon as they can and loved everything about our Restaurant!! Such a lovely couple!!

"Our Favorite Spot"

Tonight I decided to give my RAK to a wonderful couple (David and Michelle) from London, England. They have been frequenting us often, and I wanted to drop by and let them know that we appreciate their patronage! They were floored when I gave them a GC to come have dinner on us next time! Michelle said, "this is Our Favorite Spot" in her awesome British accent! When I gave them a PIF GC, they were excited to tell me that they have English friends that they will give it to! They tell everyone about us, and have never had a bad experience here! It was so fun to meet some new regulars, and make their night!!

Stormy Skies Finally Clear

My RAK this evening went to a very deserving couple!!! They had planned a date night and it all went to ruin! First their babysitter bailed and then while on a motorcycle ride and it stormed so they were soaked when they finally arrived. When they stopped, the restaurant they went to was closing. They called and asked if we were still open, and were pleasantly surprised when we were. We brought them a couple blankets, and we bought their dinner and dessert! They were so very grateful!! To have a bummer night turn into a great one was just what they needed!! They raved about the food and service!! Tina made their night!! When I told them to pass it on they were so happy to oblige!! Today was their second time in and vow it won't be the last!! It was so great to have made their night!!
